Shades Magazine was one of the first regular punk magazines in Toronto and came out during the first wave of punk. This is the first issue which features a story in the Viletones in New York, the Diodes, the Vibrators, Teenage Head, the Boyfriends, the Concordes, the Ugly, the Scenics, the Dishes, and the Poles. It's a who's who of the Toronto punk scene
