The Scotch Twins
Lucy Fitch Perkins (1865 –1937) was an American children's book author and illustrator, famous for writing the Twins series of books, widely read by children and young adults in schools and homes all over North America. Beginning with The Dutch Twins in 1911, she continued this series of geographical and historical storybooks, inquiring into life in other countries and retelling various regional legends and folk tales. Humorous, unpedantic, and illustrated in her own whimsical style, the Twins series extended to 26 volumes.
