The creative work of Henry Blake Fuller, an American novelist and short story writer, was underestimated by bourgeois critics. Fuller was one of the first representatives of so-called Chicago School writers, who depicted life of Chicago people and the striking social contrasts of the city – a growing in leaps and bounds giant. In his suspense novel “The Cliff Dwellers”, which saw the light of the day in 1983, the author proposes a critical account of the world of capitalistic plunderers, possessed by cupidity and vainglory.
