Vor der Wahlschlacht: Lustspiel in 1 Akt (Before the election battle: comedy in one act) by "W.L.R." (Wilhelm Ludwig Rosenberg) published in New York City by John Oehler, 1887 Rosenberg was the "Corresponding Secretary" (Executive Secretary) of the Socialist Labor Party of America from 1885 to 1889, a writer of poetry and drama. Publisher Oehler was the printer of the SLP's material in this period. Whether this is an official SLP publication or not is unclear, but it is very close to being an official party issue if it is not in fact. OCLC WorldCat lists two copies of this 32 page pamphlet, one in the Tamiment Library of New York University, a second at the International Institute of Social History in Amsterdam. This digital edition is from a third copy in the collection of Tim Davenport, Corvallis, OR. Rosenberg was a Lassallean who left the SLP following a party split in 1889. He remained active in the Socialist movement for the rest of his life, dying sometime in the 1930s.
