The Covenants by M.L. McPhail (1909). Book by former long-time associate of Charles Taze Russell (president of the Watchtower Society, now known as Jehovah's Witnesses). McPhail led the New Covenant schism from Russell's Bible Student Association. In 1909, Russell began teaching that the New Covenant was not to be experienced by Christians in this life but would be future. McPhail led several in defecting from Russell's group over this new teaching.
