Official Moscow-published edition of the historic radio speech delivered by Viacheslav Mikhailovich Molotov in response to the Nazi invasion of the Soviet Union, which took place in the early morning hours of June 22, 1941. Soviet leader Joseph Stalin did not speak to the nation on the German incursion until his radio address of July 3, 1941, making this the most important official declaration by leaders of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union for the first 11 days of the war.
