For the first time, on 1901, the historian Ruggero Berlingozzi published a manuscript, found in Venice, written on 1627 by Pietro di Fabrizio Accolti. The manuscript entitled "Relazione intorno al presente stato e bisogni della Terra di Montevarchi" was the report to the Tuscan gran duke of the situation in Montevarchi in 1627.
