The text consists of a description of the catafalque and other funeral decorations, followed by the oration Illustrations: full page engraving, on p. 1 second count, depicting atrium of Chiesa di S. Maria Maddalena in Bologna, signed with initials A.S. (Antonio Stiaffi); and a folding plate depicting the catafalque (impression 50 x 38 cm.) signed: "Antonio Stassi Statuario, et [?] Arcangelo Parisin[i?], e Franceso figlio Addobbatori Invent: dell'Apparato" In library's copy the caption on the folded plate depicting the catafalque is partly illegible, leaving out text following words "Antonio Stiassi Statuario ..."
