Ted O. Lawrence an American Black Man Born in 1943. I wrote this for my sons. I wrote about my experiences as a young man growing up in America, working as a Hghway Patrol Oficer, State Narcotic Agent, and Postal Inspector, Regional Inspector General for Investigations U.S. Govt, and Public Defender Investigator, raising a family and being a husband and father.I wanted to provide information to my sons that would help them to understand me better and provide information that might help them to live a better life. I hope that they could benefit from my successes and mistakes. I never thought that I could give them all the answers or that I was right all the time. I just tried to write and give them my perspective. I also included information from my close friends and relatives, other Black Men, provideing information that they thought would help my sons as Black Men live a successful life. Keeping in mind that the world is different for Black Men and they must follow different rules and work harder to be successful. I also lpope that what I have written might privide some useful information that might help other young Black Men. That is the main reason I am lposting this in the archives.
