Hell, Yeah
This is a wonderful story of rural Texas and the oil business as it plays out at a local level. Carolyn Brown takes you to that world and aptly describes the Honky Tonk environment and its “hole-in-the-wall” mentality. Likewise, her depiction of country music and dance steps is delivered with authenticity and true appreciation. There are lots of other characters who feed into the story, giving both Cathy and Travis plenty of advice and opinions on how these two need to hook up. Fate throws the two of them together when Travis needs to use Cathy’s apartment because his trailer has lost power and water.
