The villagers call on them just because of the lack of options and also because of the fact that they work cheap. But they are unpredictable and have long held personal animosities among their own varied groups. Fights erupt in markets and deaths are commonplace. A lot of secrets are being told, some are being kept and there’s a whole lot of talk about how a seven-year-old is trying to avoid sins as much as possible as his entire family is a Baptist and sins are therefore not tolerated.
