The Anonimo; notes on pictures and works of art in Italy made by an anonymous writer in the sixteenth century;
The manuscript of which this is a translation was discovered by the Abate Don Jacopo Morelli in 1800 amongst the Marciana manuscripts. The Italian edition of 1884, containing notes by Dr. Frizzoni, has been the basis of this edition. cf.
