Moods
This is the first novel written by Louisa May Alcott and in some places and scenes it seems a bit immature. Moods became the first book of hers which demanded recognition for its author. The plot is quite serious and rises the questions of marriage and divorce which were controversial for that time. Being influenced by such outstanding works as Jane Eyre and The Scarlet Letter, Moods finds its own place among the classics in literature and shows its complicated nature and the obvious talent of Louisa Alcott. The characters here are dimensional and bright, they attract readers and support the thesis about making Moods a real masterpiece.
